Day 1: The team arrived safely on Friday afternoon, unpacked, and dined at the “Y” Restaurant for supper. (It’s called the”Y” because it’s in the “Y” of the road.)
They then traveled 30 minutes to Spencer for Walmart supplies, and experienced the 4th of July celebration West Virginia style, standing in the Walmart parking lot watching fireworks, which were being shot from the same parking lot…so the fireworks were directly over their heads. A grand finale to a first day on mission. Tomorrow. ..down to work.
The team spent today renewing friendships and making contacts throughout the community. They are building life-long relationships that will make a difference for eternity in the souls of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia. Here are a couple of group shots as they visit in homes. Hopefully, we can add more. Keep praying for the team as they lead in worship tomorrow, and as they prepare for VBS. Pray for people to become true believers in Christ as they hear the gospel message proclaimed throughout this week.
Snack time for Pre-K class. Yum Yum!
