Online Giving

Thank you for being faithful to God’s kingdom and to His church as you grow in faith through giving. Before the Ten Commandments were ever handed to Moses, God and set forth the TITHE, (or 1/10 of your income) as the standard for faithfulness.  In Old Testament times, that was often the first tenth of your harvest or of your herds.  In our day, it relates to our salaries and our finances.  An excellent formula for managing your financial well being is simply this:

The first 10th belongs to the Lord

The second 10th, belongs in your savings account

The remaining 80% is what you live on.

If you will faithfully practice this simple principle, God will bless you and your family because you honor HIM!"

"The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…" Psalm 24:1

As followers of Jesus, the Bible teaches that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the owner of all that we have.  Throughout Scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided.  His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

At Woodlawn, there are several ways you can give to God’s work through tithes and offerings:

  1. You can give by check or cash on Sunday when the offering is received during one of the morning worship services. Giving IS an act of worship!
  2. You can give on Sunday mornings through your Sunday School class. All tithes and offerings are collected and turned in from each class.
  3. You can mail a check to the Church Office. (Address listed below)
  4. You can give ONLINE by clicking here.

Online Giving FAQ

Q: Is it safe to give online?

A: Yes.  Woodlawn takes the security and privacy of your information very seriously.  All the necessary steps have been taken to ensure that your information is protected during your transaction.  Your session is encrypted using industry standard protocols and techniques, so you can be assured that your information is protected.

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

A: You may give by eCheck (checking account debit) or debit card.  ECheck transactions cost Woodlawn less in fees compared to debit cards.  If you set up an eCheck transaction for online giving, we can put more of your gift towards what it was intended for—sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.  As a security measure, PIN-based transactions are not processed over the internet, therefore, PIN-only debit cards may not be used. Debit cards are accepted provided they are Visa or Master Card (should have a Visa or Master Card logo).
